For Confirmation & RCIA

Confirmation Dresses

Confirmation calls for something quietly grown-up. These dresses keep the modest lines a church ceremony asks for — covered shoulders, midi and maxi lengths, unfussy detail — in white and ivory tones that photograph beautifully and can be worn again long after the day.

Church-appropriate lines

Sleeves or cap sleeves, higher necklines and lengths that stay put when kneeling or standing.

Teen and adult sizing

Teen sizes 8 to 16 and women's XS to XL, so a candidate and her sponsor can dress in the same palette.

Wearable again

Nothing costume-like — each piece works afterwards for Sunday mass, graduations and family occasions.

Before you choose

What is appropriate to wear for Confirmation?

A modest dress or skirt with the shoulders covered, in white, ivory or a soft neutral. Avoid strapless, sheer or very short styles; many parishes ask that a robe be worn over the outfit, so a slim midi silhouette sits best underneath.

Does it have to be white?

White symbolises the baptismal garment and is the most common choice, but ivory, cream and pale neutrals are widely accepted. Confirm your parish's guidance if you are unsure.

Choosing between midi and maxi

Midi lengths are easier in the heat and for younger candidates; maxi lengths read more formal and work well for adult confirmation and RCIA ceremonies.
