Baptism & Christening Dresses

Christening clothes sit against new skin for hours, so fabric matters more than trim. Our baby baptism gowns, rompers and bonnets are made in 100% cotton with no polyester, in sizes 0–3M to 12–18M — and for adult baptism, modest white midi and maxi dresses that cover well when wet.

Before you choose

What does a baby wear to a christening?

A white or ivory gown or romper, usually with a bonnet, and often a family shawl. Churches keep a candle and white cloth for the rite itself, so nothing else is required.

What size should I order?

Choose by the baby's size on the day of the ceremony, not at birth. If you are between sizes, size up — gowns are meant to sit loose and are easier to change in.

Can it be kept as an heirloom?

Yes. Hand-wash gently, dry flat, then store folded in acid-free tissue away from light so the cotton stays white for the next child.
